রাজলক্ষ্মী তখন হঠাৎ অপরিমিত উৎসাহে বধূকে ঘরকন্নার কাজ শিখাইতে প্রবৃত্ত হইলেন। ভাঁড়ার-ঘর রান্নাঘর ঠাকুরঘরেই আশার দিনগুলি কাটিল, রাত্রে রাজলক্ষ্মী তাহাকে নিজের বিছানায় শোয়াইয়া তাহার আত্মীয়বিচ্ছেদের ক্ষতিপূরণ করিতে লাগিলেন।
